7.5t and 18t Drivers

Drivers Casual - base Blackburn, Lancashire

Prefix Systems have opportunities available for a 7.5t Driver and 18t Driver to join the fleet, covering ad hoc shifts as and when available on a no obligation basis. Work is typically available up to 2 to 3 days per week from Monday to Friday, with no weekend work required.

Job Responsibilities

This is an excellent opportunity for those looking to accept work offered on a casual basis. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and take pride in being a professional driver, offering great customer service as a front-facing member of the team. Routes are planned 1 to 2 weeks in advance.

Requirements

The preferred candidate will have:

• Prior experience of driving 7.5t/18t vehicles, with multi-dropping throughout the UK.
• Current DCPC qualification.
• No more than 6 penalty points and no DR or IN penalties.
• Tacho card.
• An effective communicator at all levels, including reading, writing, and speaking.
• Ability to meet manual handling related physical demands such as walking, bending, stooping, and lifting.
• Trustworthy and able to work independently without supervision.
