Assistant Buyer - Full-time, Permanent

Overview

WCF is looking for an Assistant Buyer to join WCF's dynamic Buying & Merchandising department at WCF, based in Brampton, Cumbria. This position is perfect for someone eager to contribute to WCF's mail order clothing business, known for brands like "Country Collection", "James Meade", and "The Classic Boutique".

Role Overview

This role will involve working closely with the Head of Buying and Designer on product range planning, building, and reviewing weekly sales to determine necessary trade actions. You will assist in sourcing projects across all product departments, manage import and export of goods, and engage in market benchmarking and competition shopping activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Buying & Merchandising team in day-to-day operations.
• Manage product range planning and sales reviews.
• Conduct market analysis and competition shopping.
• Assist in sourcing projects for various product categories.
• Monitor import and export logistics.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, you will need:

• Relevant experience in working with FMCG.
• Excellent administration, communication, and organizational skills.
• Strong negotiation abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
