Overview

UKCIL is currently looking to recruit a Support Worker to provide support for an 18-year-old young woman. The purpose of your role will be to enable her independence and support her in participating in activities she enjoys, primarily in the community.

As her mental and physical health challenges daily life, UKCIL seek a patient, kind, and experienced individual to assist her in living her desired lifestyle. An interest in animals, theatre, music, art, drawing, and social outings is preferred. This young woman is non-verbal, requiring you to understand her unique ways of communication as you build a relationship. Enabling her to engage with community activities and new people will significantly enhance her well-being.

General health is essential, as part of your duties will include mobility support. She uses crutches, necessitating a focus on safety at all times. While being a non-smoker/vaper is ideal, experience or knowledge of neurodiversity is advantageous but not mandatory.

Proactive suggestions for community activities are encouraged, and having a driving license with personal transportation is preferred; travel expenses will be covered by your employer.
