Animal Care Assistant, Full Time working every other weekend

Overview

NATIONAL ANIMAL WELFARE TRUST is seeking an Animal Care Assistant to maintain a high standard of care for animals at NATIONAL ANIMAL WELFARE TRUST's center located in Great Shefford.

Job Responsibilities

• Clean kennels and exercise areas to an acceptable standard.
• Feed and groom animals as directed by your supervisor.
• Exercise animals and report any sickness or injury directly to your supervisor.
• Keep the animal kitchen and general areas clean and tidy.
• Show animals to members of the public as required.
• Aid in the implementation of health care and training plans.
• Assist with veterinary appointments and fundraising activities.
• Drive animals to and from veterinary appointments when needed.
• Attend team meetings and relevant training sessions.

Qualifications

• Experience of caring for animals in an employment environment or relevant qualification.
• Good communication and customer care skills.
• Flexibility and ability to work as part of a team.
• Full driving license and access to a car.

Work Schedule
