Overview

As an Aircraft Controller (AC), you will play a pivotal role in enabling the Royal Navy's front-line aviation capability at sea. Positioned at the heart of the ship, you will be a key member of the warfighting team within the Operations Room. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the safety of all Rotary Wing aircraft under your control.

This challenging yet rewarding role includes:

  • Directing the ship's airborne weapon carrier from a radar screen to achieve mission success.
  • Acting as the ship's aviation adviser during all flying serials, responding directly to the ship's Command Team.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and control aircraft movements in the operational area.
  • Provide guidance and support to aircrew and ship personnel.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
