Overview

New Vision Bradford is a partnership between the Bridge Project, Project 6, and Waythrough. Under this umbrella, the partnership delivers an adult substance misuse service for the Bradford and Craven District, aiming to help people tackle the misuse of alcohol and drugs and reduce risk-taking behaviours through dedicated prevention, intervention, and support.

The Bridge Project is looking to recruit an Activities Coordinator to coordinate and deliver recovery activities, trips, and events at Flourish Community Coffee Shop and Recovery Hub. This role requires a passion for recovery, an upbeat personality, self-motivation, and the ability to engage with service users.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate volunteer participation in activities and events.
  • Identify recovery-focused activities.
  • Develop links with recovery groups.
  • Maintain effective communication and teamwork.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Relevant professional qualification in Health and Social Care, or a Social Work degree.
  • At least 2 years of experience working with individuals with alcohol and/or drug issues.
  • Excellent understanding of drug and alcohol issues.
  • Knowledge of adult and child safeguarding.
  • Highly organized with strong communication skills.

Working Conditions

Flexibility in working hours is required. An enhanced DBS check will be necessary.
