Assistant Night Warehouse Manager

Summary:

Menzies Distribution have an excellent opportunity for an energised and experienced Assistant Warehouse Night Manager to join Menzies Distribution's team in Menzies Distribution's Hull depot. Menzies Distribution's team plays an important role in supporting Menzies Distribution's business to deliver world-class service and time-critical parcels to Menzies Distribution's customers.

Shift Pattern: Wednesday - Sunday

Working Hours: 23:00pm - 08:00am, 42.5 hours per week.

Salary: £28,143.12

You will play an integral part in the efficient day-to-day operations of Menzies Distribution's Distribution Centre, working closely with Menzies Distribution's experienced Warehouse Manager to manage a challenging daily workload. Your responsibilities will include:

• Manage and motivate the team to meet customer timescales and improve productivity.
• Maintain quality standards and ensure team productivity targets are achieved.
• Provide handover reports to the oncoming Shift Manager.
• Conduct inductions for all new staff.
• Provide training to all staff and contractors to ensure they can undertake their duties effectively, efficiently, and safely.
• Ensure all staff have completed necessary Health & Safety training.
• Manage the end-to-end warehouse functions and processes.
• Keep the warehouse safe, clean, and tidy.

Requirements:

• Previous supervisory or managerial experience is preferred.
• A good approach to prioritisation of daily tasks and keeping a cool head under pressure.
• A common-sense approach to problem-solving.
• Computer literate.
• Comfortable working to strict deadlines.
• Great communication skills.
