Assistant Project Manager (Innovation)

Starting salary from £32,792 per annum, based on experience with an up to 5% bonus. Two full-time permanent positions based in Thorpe Park, Leeds with hybrid working.

Northern Gas have an amazing opportunity for two Assistant Project Managers (Innovation) to join Northern Gas here at Northern Gas Networks (NGN). You will ensure compliance with strict internal and external governance protocols in the delivery of the NGN innovation portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the creation of business cases for potential innovation projects across all areas of operations.
  • Management and delivery of innovation projects, ensuring compliance with NGN and regulatory governance requirements.
  • Maintain stakeholder relationships from project authorisation through to closure.
  • Monitor financial performance of projects, identifying and reporting anomalies.
  • Liaise with the Portfolio and Assurance Manager to ensure prompt payment of invoices.
  • Provide regular and timely project progress reports to sponsors and stakeholders.
  • Deliver closure reports and benefits assessments upon project completion.

  • Ability to deliver diverse projects with knowledge of legislation and budget management.
