Personalised Eating Disorder Support (PEDS)Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Administrator to join the PEDS team. PEDS has evolved over the years from a small charity run by two eating disorder volunteer Nurses into a regional organisation that serves both primary and secondary organisations, including third sector and statutory services. PEDS has partnership contracts with the local NHS Clinical Commissioning Group, the University of Cambridge, Anglia Ruskin University and the local Council.
Services currently offered include assessment and 1:1 support, peer support group, carers support group, and a range of education/training programmes. Personalised Eating Disorder Support (PEDS) have a team of 14 employed staff plus dedicated volunteers, many of whom have lived experience of recovery from an eating disorder. Personalised Eating Disorder Support (PEDS) deliver services across the whole of Cambridgeshire and continue to evolve, innovate and expand Personalised Eating Disorder Support (PEDS)'s services as part of Personalised Eating Disorder Support (PEDS)'s 3-year Strategy.
This role will be hybrid remote from home or in person at The Barn in Werrington, Peterborough.
Main Duties of the Job
The Administrator is responsible for undertaking a wide range of administrative duties, including updating patient records, providing administrative support to the team, and attending team meetings.
The successful candidate will work alongside Personalised Eating Disorder Support (PEDS)'s existing administrator.
Job Responsibilities
The following are the core responsibilities of the Administrator:
- Process incoming and outgoing email
- Input data into the patients' healthcare records
- Process and submit referrals according to pathways and clinical requests
- Liaise with patients regarding assessment appointments, questionnaires, and onward referrals
- Answer incoming phone calls, transferring calls or dealing with the callers' requests appropriately
- Support all clinical staff with general administrative tasks as requested

PEDS Mission Statement: Personalised Eating Disorder Support (PEDS)'s mission is to provide nurse-led, personalised eating disorder support with the aim being to help the sufferer manage their eating disorder and build a life to get well, free from the control of their illness. This includes equipping carers and families with the tools to support their loved ones.
