Overview

Main Purpose: To assist with preparation of customer orders whilst upholding Food Hygiene rules and Health & Safety regulations.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Making hand made beef burgers as instructed.
  • Assisting with putting customer orders together ensuring correct products are selected.
  • Labelling orders correctly including correct allergy and ingredient information.
  • Ensure preparation methods comply with all Food Hygiene regulations.
  • Ensure a high level of hygiene of premises, equipment and staff.
  • Ensure duties are carried out in the correct manner, wearing the correct uniform at all times.
  • Assisting with unloading of overnight deliveries.
  • Ensure produce is stored in the correct places e.g. separation of fresh and cooked meats.
  • Ensure all temperature controls and hazard analysis procedures are in place and followed correctly.
  • Assist with any day-to-day cleaning of equipment and work areas to ensure efficiency and sterilization.
  • Report any faults or problems with machinery to the Butchery Manager promptly.
  • Ensure the removal of waste food and rubbish at appropriate times.
  • Comply with Food Hygiene, Health & Safety regulations, C.O.S.H.H. Regulations and Fire Policy.
  • Work as a team with other staff to ensure orders are prepared and fulfilled correctly.

Skills and abilities:

  • Ability to listen to instruction and carry out duties accordingly.
  • Attention to detail ensuring all labelling is correct.
  • Courteous and helpful attitude in dealing with all colleagues.
  • Willingness to undertake training.

  • Good fitness levels and high physical stamina.
  • Manual handling skills.

Hours of work: Sunday to Saturday 21.00 to 6.00am (Night off to be agreed).
