Cafe Roo is seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join Cafe Roo's team. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service while preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items. You will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere for Cafe Roo's customers, ensuring their experience is enjoyable and memorable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the workspace, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
• Assist customers with their orders, providing recommendations and answering any questions regarding the menu.
• Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, utilising basic maths skills for till operations.
• Support food preparation tasks as needed, ensuring all items are fresh and presented attractively.
• Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during busy periods.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive work environment and assist each other as needed.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of food safety practices to ensure the health and safety of customers.
• Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
• A friendly disposition with excellent communication skills to engage with customers effectively.
• A willingness to help colleagues and contribute positively to the team dynamic.
