The Bank Domestic Assistant will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of various healthcare facilities across the Atlas portfolio. This role requires a commitment to high standards of cleanliness and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Regular vacuuming and occasional shampooing of carpeted areas using carpet cleaning machinery.
- Regular maintenance of hard floors using a buffing machine, including spray cleaning, stripping, scrubbing, and buffing.
- High and low damp dusting of all surfaces, including worktops, ledges, skirting, picture frames, notice boards, and furniture.
- Daily cleaning of all washbasins, toilets, and sluice sinks, including replenishment of supplies.
- Routine cleaning of internal glazing, such as windows and mirrors.
- Periodic changing of curtains and daily emptying of clinical and domestic waste containers.
- Ensuring premises are secure by locking doors and activating alarms.
- Reporting faults with cleaning equipment and damage to the facility.
Requirements
Applicants should have:
- A Grade C or equivalent in Maths and English at GCSE level.
- Previous cleaning experience, particularly in a healthcare setting, is advantageous.
- Relevant qualifications, such as an NVQ in Cleaning or training in Health & Safety and COSHH, are preferred but not essential.

The role involves working in community health centres, cleaning both clinical and non-clinical areas.
