Job Description

The Loan is seeking a skilled Bricklayer / General Builder with a minimum of 3 years of experience in masonry work. This role involves working in various construction projects in Edinburgh, with free on-site parking available.

Responsibilities

• Lay and bind building materials, including brick and concrete blocks, using mortar to construct or repair walls and other structures.
• Measure distances from reference points and mark guidelines for laying out work.
• Mix materials such as sand and mortar to create refractory mixtures.
• Utilize power saws to cut materials to specified sizes.
• Clean excess mortar from bricks or blocks using brushes and water.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Brick Mason.
• Proficient in various masonry techniques and methods.
• Ability to read blueprints and follow construction plans.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of masonry techniques and materials.
• Proficient in using hand tools like trowels, hammers, and chisels.
• Familiarity with safety regulations in construction.
