An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Business Support Officer within Kent County Council's Ashford Early Help Team. This full-time fixed term position is to cover maternity leave, working Monday – Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm, based at Kroner House, Ashford, with some home working.
This role is key to providing professional support to Early Help Workers supporting children and families in Ashford and surrounding areas, and you will also be part of a wider South Kent team offering support to colleagues.
Kent County Council is looking for someone with a calm and organised approach who would like to make a positive contribution. You will need to demonstrate excellent organisation and communication skills, and you must be able to proactively manage your workload and support the wider team while responding to urgent requests and deadlines.
You will often be the first point of contact for Kent County Council's service and need to be confident in liaising with families, colleagues, and professionals within a multi-agency environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Handling sensitive information, checking and recording data.
- Liaising with colleagues to arrange and support a variety of meetings.
- Providing crucial support to allow Early Help Workers to focus on supporting local families.
You should enjoy working as part of an effective team but also work independently to a high standard while working remotely. The role is varied and interesting and offers:
