Class 2 Refuse Driver

Overview

Taskmaster are currently recruiting for a Class 2 Refuse Driver for Taskmaster Recruitment's client based in Peterborough.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive and operate waste collection vehicles safely, collecting waste from customers’ premises.
• Ensure vehicle is roadworthy and that the load is safe for the public highway.
• Comply with all highway rules, such as speed and weight limits.
• Transport collected waste to appropriate disposal facilities.
• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment at all times.
• Liaise with Traffic Office daily to clarify completed jobs and check next day's worksheets.
• Maintain accurate records related to work undertaken, vehicle checks, and accident reporting.
• Ensure compliance with the Road Transport Directive regarding hours worked.
• Maintain the Company vehicle in a clean and tidy condition.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks as per procedures.
• Report vehicle defaults and customer service issues to Depot Management.
• Attend toolbox talks to promote a safe working environment.
• Safeguard health and safety for self and others affected by actions at work.
• Carry out any other reasonable job-related tasks as required.

Work Schedule

Start times: 06:00am until finish.

Pay

£13.61 per hour.
