Overview

It’s an exciting time to join Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust's two organisations, Dorset County Hospital and Dorset HealthCare, as Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust build on Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust's new joint leadership model to help improve the health and wellbeing of Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust's local communities.

Role Overview

The recently appointed Joint Executive Director of Corporate Affairs is building a single Corporate Affairs team to work across both organisations and is now seeking to appoint a Corporate Affairs Apprentice to work with the Governor and Membership Manager across both Trusts.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Council of Governors in Dorset County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and Dorset Healthcare University NHS Foundation Trust.
  • Assist in developing and implementing activities supporting both Councils of Governors and wider membership engagement.
  • Undertake an apprenticeship in Business and Administration to gain a formal level 3 qualification while gaining workplace skills.
  • Support the administration and implementation of the Trust’s corporate governance agenda.
  • Ensure that the Council of Governors and related sub-groups operate smoothly and effectively.
  • Contribute to the corporate governance activities undertaken to the highest standards of probity.
  • Maintain excellent working relationships through effective communication.
