Job Overview

The rehabilitation programmes at the Enhanced Assessment Unit at Kenrick Care Centre in Harborne are supported by care assistants under the supervision of senior care staff and therapists.

This service includes 32 beds and has a high turnover of referrals from hospitals across the city. The length of stay at Kenrick EAB is typically short term. The EAB team consists of Care Staff, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Social Workers, and District Nurses who work at a fast pace to facilitate hospital discharges.

Responsibilities

  • Support care staff in providing high-quality care.
  • Assist with daily living activities and personal care.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Participate in the planning and implementation of care plans.

Shift and Schedule

Due to the nature of this job, staff are required to work on a rota which includes late and early shifts, as well as weekends and bank holidays.
