The Aspire Training Team is seeking an enthusiastic, reliable, and hardworking individual to complete their Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship at Wind in the Willows, ABC Durrington.

About the Role

Wind in the Willows provides childcare for children from ages 2 to 5 years, accommodating up to 33 children in a main room. The facility includes a large garden area and animals such as dogs, rabbits, and guinea pigs.

Your Roles and Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively as part of a team, supporting children and attending to all personal care needs.
• Plan daily activities and develop into the role of a key person responsible for children's next steps and safeguarding requirements.
• Liaise with team leaders and senior staff regarding children's wellbeing and provide daily feedback.
• Undertake regular supervisions and support the smooth running of the room.

Requirements

• A solid understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and effective communication skills to liaise with parents.
• Level 2 childcare qualification is desirable.
• A year of experience in a nursery environment is also desirable.
• Ability to obtain a clear DBS check.
• GCSE grades A*-C or 4-9 in Maths and English Language, or equivalent.

Hours

• Wind in the Willows operates from 08:30 to 15:30, Monday to Friday.
• The successful candidate will work 30 hours per week, with shift patterns to be discussed.
