Summary

• Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 basic (Dependent on experience)
• Performance bonus
• Location: Skelmersdale
• Working Hours: Monday to Friday (37.5 hours per week) - option to work part-time
• Contract Type: Permanent

My client in Skelmersdale is seeking a Collections Advisor to join their team on a permanent basis. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to manage your own caseload of customers in default, while being part of a company that values career development and offers an attractive package.

This role can be offered on a full-time or part-time basis, with part-time hours to be discussed.

Responsibilities:

• Make and receive calls to customers in default.
• Contact customers via email and letter regarding payment.
• Handle disputes effectively in accordance with FCA rules.
• Support hardship and vulnerable customers according to FCA guidelines.
• Negotiate payment plans and settlement agreements as per client guidelines.
• Ensure accurate recording of calls and emails.
• Participate in additional regulatory and procedural training as required.
• Assist colleagues when needed, including holiday cover.
• Perform other duties as requested based on experience.

Essential Requirements:

• Previous experience in credit control or collections roles.
• Strong communication skills.
• Proven relationship-building abilities.
• Empathy and understanding in customer interactions.
• Attention to detail and risk management skills.
• Exceptional customer service capabilities.
