Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council is looking for a Catering Assistant to join Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council's friendly and supportive catering team at Dickens Heath Primary School.
Pay
£22,366 - £22,737 pro rata, per annum.
Shift and Schedule
Working hours are Monday to Friday, Term Time only. This role is ideal for fitting in around your caring responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Assist with serving Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council's healthy, award-winning meals.
- Maintain hygiene levels within the kitchen.
- Perform basic food preparation.
- Prepare counters and the dining room for service.
- Operate the cashless till system.
- Conduct cleaning duties.
Skills and Experience Requirements
You will need a Level 2 Food Safety qualification or be willing to complete it within your first 12 months of service. Experience in delivering excellent customer service and working as part of a team is essential. Good communication skills, enthusiasm, and self-motivation are also required.

Additional Information
This post will require an enhanced DBS check with a barred list check for working with children.
