The Role:
The Careers Service is seeking a qualified and experienced Careers Consultant to support students in their career development. You will manage a specific caseload of undergraduate and postgraduate students, delivering Careers Education, Information, Advice, and Guidance (CEIAG) within the curriculum and through one-to-one appointments.
Careers Service:
The Careers team provides essential information, advice, and guidance to help students and recent graduates enhance their employability skills and achieve their career aspirations. This includes designing and delivering a variety of employability initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver expert careers and employability education, information, advice, and guidance (CEIAG).
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the graduate labor market and trends within the higher education sector.
- Collaborate with other teams to provide specialist career consultancy to senior management and academics.
- Engage with technology used by the Careers team, providing insights for improvement.
- Lead new projects to enhance student experience and employability.
Requirements:
Ideally, candidates should possess a level 6 qualification in Careers Advice and Guidance. However, those with a level 4 qualification who are working towards or intend to pursue a level 6 will also be considered.
