Concierge CCTV Operator

Overview

As a Concierge CCTV Operator, you will play a crucial role in the 24-hour CCTV Control Room monitoring operations across the Thurrock Borough. Your responsibilities include:

• Operating CCTV camera equipment and Police/Council radio systems
• Acting as Concierge for three high-rise flats
• Ensuring all CCTV evidence complies with Data Protection and GDPR guidelines
• Liaising with Council Officers, Police, and external parties regarding CCTV inquiries
• Preparing and presenting evidence to meet criminal justice standards
• Appearing as a technical witness in court if necessary

The position requires a strong IT knowledge, including proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. You must hold a B-Tec qualification in SIA CCTV Operators Course; training will be provided as a four-day residential course. Additionally, a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is mandatory at the standard level.

This role operates on a 24/7 shift rotation, which includes night shifts and work during bank holidays. The salary is £27,053 - £30,428 per annum, plus a 15% Shift Allowance.
