Cleaner/Caretaker

Overview

Job Summary:

As a Caretaker/Cleaner at Salcombe Primary School, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the school's facilities to a high standard.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the site and grounds are cleaned and maintained to contractual standards.
• Manage equipment and products used, including inventory and safe storage.
• Support with general maintenance issues and oversee site security.
• Perform minor handyman duties as required.

Requirements:

• Experience in a similar role is advantageous, but full training is provided.
• Ability to deliver high customer service.
• Confident working independently and as part of a team.
• Good interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients.
• Comfortable engaging with the public.
• Knowledge of health & safety guidelines relevant to the role is a plus.
