Customer Delivery Driver/Picker - For Students, Immediate Start

This position is working 16 hours per week, any 2 in 6 days including bank holidays. apetito's drivers are the face of apetito's business and their interaction with apetito's customers is crucial to apetito's success.

In this role, you will be delivering frozen Wiltshire Farm Foods meals and bringing sunshine to apetito's customers' doors, regardless of the weather. You should enjoy meeting people and always be willing to go above and beyond what is expected.

You'll work in a coldstore that operates at a chilly -20ºC. Protective clothing will be provided along with breaks to warm up and have a hot drink when necessary.

As part of a wider team, you will help the office team. apetito encourage movement between teams for flexibility, job satisfaction, personal development, and a broader understanding of the business.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver frozen meals to apetito's customers in a timely manner.
• Pick orders within the coldstore.
• Use apetito's app to update customers on deliveries.
• Deliver exceptional customer service at all times.
• Undertake pre-shift inspection of your van.
• Drive safely, responsibly, and within the law.
• Clean and refuel your van as needed.
• Contact the office with any discrepancies or delays.
• Ensure customer confidentiality.
• Help the office and picking team when required.
• Report health and safety, stock quality, and mechanical issues.
• Assist the team if another member is absent or on holiday.
• Carry out local marketing activities to attract new customers.

Requirements:

Essential:

• Experience in a customer service-based role.
• Full UK Manual Driving Licence.
• Basic computer literacy, including use of phone apps.
• Evidence of work stability.
• Basic secondary education.

Desirable:

• Experience in a multi-drop delivery role.
• Experience in a care-based role.
• Warehouse experience.
• Health & Safety awareness.

Personal Qualities:

• Friendly, approachable, and reliable.
• Passionate about delivering excellent customer service.
• Good attendance and timekeeping.

You must have held a UK manual driving licence for at least 3 years.
