This is where you come in. North Yorkshire Council’re looking for Civil Enforcement Officers to join North Yorkshire Council's parking services team.
The Role
Parking Services provides a range of frontline services and is directly responsible for the day-to-day operation, cleaning, maintenance, servicing, and repair of pay and display machinery throughout the district.
As a Civil Enforcement Officer, you will be:
- Flexible and reliable.
- Observant and able to communicate tactfully and effectively with the public.
- Accurate in recording information.
- Part of a team patrolling car parks and highways in your designated area to enforce parking regulations and assist with public enquiries.
- Responsible for issuing penalty charge notices using handheld computerized terminals and making written reports in support of notices issued.
- Tasked with reporting defects relating to signing, street lighting, street furniture, or any other issues that may pose a hazard to the public.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who loves the outdoors and wishes to broaden their knowledge of North Yorkshire while working outside.
Shifts
5 days over 7 with an allowance for any weekend working. Shifts vary from 6:45 AM to 00:15 AM.
What You Will Bring
You will be customer-focused, possess great communication skills (both verbal and written), and have the resilience to deal effectively with members of the public.
While experience with operating computers or computerized equipment is an advantage, all candidates are welcome as full training will be provided.
