Customer Focused Engineer

Overview

Expleo are seeking an Automotive Customer Focused Engineer in UX (User Experience), Switches and Controls, to work within a globally successful automotive OEM, based in Bedfordshire, on a contract basis.

Responsibilities

• Define requirements from a customer's point of view
• Establish customer target requirements, including, but not limited to In-vehicle Infotainment systems, storage solutions, controls, switches & displays
• Analyse European Automotive market trends and customer usage patterns
• Produce Market / Trend / Engineering Test reports & Benchmark Reports
• Create documentation in response to customer use cases and needs

Background and Experience Required

• Degree educated preferred
• Experience within the Automotive Industry
• Customer focused, with knowledge of European Driving & Car usage behaviour
• Understanding of vehicle development and performance
• Appreciation and knowledge of usability and ergonomic principles
• Microsoft Office skills

A full driving licence valid for driving in the UK is essential and flexibility to travel is required within the role of Customer Focused Engineer.
