Job Description

The Caretaker will work within the ACET Site Team to provide an effective caretaking service for the academy and carry out reasonable instructions in line with the level of responsibility for the post.

The ACET estates are maintained at a high standard, and Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council continually strive to improve them. Responsibilities include:

• Ensuring maintenance contracts are effectively managed.
• Controlling access to the site by contractors.
• Liaising with outside agencies and contractors.
• Maximizing security of all ACET sites.
• Maintaining long-term plans for maintenance.
• Meeting operational requirements of the academies.

While the position is based at a particular academy, the post-holder may be required to work at other academies within the trust to ensure efficient service delivery.
