Cleaner/General Operative

Overview

Meadow Croft Garden Centre is currently recruiting for a cleaner/general operative to work across Meadow Croft Garden Centre's Meadow Croft Garden Centre and Meadow Croft Kitchen. This role is crucial for maintaining high levels of cleaning standards across the centre, ensuring that customer areas and facilities, offices, restaurant, and retail areas are maintained to the highest standard.

Main Responsibilities:

• Working across sites such as offices, restaurant, and retail areas.
• Performing a range of cleaning tasks such as hoovering, dusting, and mopping including furniture, floors, and windows.
• Servicing and cleaning toilet areas including toilets, sinks, floors, and replenishing customer supplies such as toilet rolls and soap.
• Maintaining stocks of cleaning materials and ensuring the cleaning cupboard is kept tidy and well stocked at all times.
• Clearing and removing refuse from customer and staff areas.
• Updating management on any issues or repairs that need to be addressed, such as broken equipment.
• Supporting with occasional general maintenance tasks.
• Maintenance and upkeep of all outside areas ensuring they are presentable at all times.
• Following all health and safety regulations, ensuring all cleaning products are accounted for and stored safely away at the end of each shift.

Schedule:

• Normal hours of work are 8.00 am – 2.00 pm (with some flexibility needed including weekend work on a rota basis).
• Weekend availability required.
