Carpenter Multi Trader

Overview

A well-established and successful Facilities Management company in Coventry is currently seeking an experienced multi-skilled Carpenter to join their team on a permanent basis.

Qualifications & Experience Required

• Proven carpentry experience is essential.
• Experience of carrying out a variety of multi-skilled maintenance, repairs, refurbishment, and installations is preferred.
• Clean UK Driving Licence is required.
• Carpentry experience ideally in a property maintenance or buildings management/FM setting would be beneficial.

Duties

• Travel to commercial sites across the Midlands and sometimes UK-wide using a company vehicle.
• Carry out maintenance carpentry tasks including re-fixing door handles, re-fitting loose hinges, basic plumbing repairs, and installing replacement fittings.
• Full office refurbishments and installations such as fitting skirting and architrave, hanging doors, and installing kitchen cabinetry.
• Undertake further training to enhance customer service delivery.
• Maintain up-to-date job information using tablet/laptop.
• Communicate effectively with customers and internal staff regarding job progress and issues.
• Ensure work is completed correctly on the first attempt within predetermined timescales.

Additional Information

• Working hours are 40 per week (Typical hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm with a 30-minute lunch break).
• Work van provided (not for personal use).
• 28 days holiday including Bank holidays.
