CCTV Operator, Harrogate

Salary: £25,119 - £26,873 (plus weekend and night allowances)

Hours: 37 hours per week

Weekend Working: Yes (nights and weekends)

Harrogate’s CCTV system makes a major contribution to the safety of North Yorkshire Council's streets – but it’s only as good as the small team of operatives who staff the control room. Your vigilance, initiative, and judgment will make all the difference: cameras may see everything, but they can’t make decisions – you can.

You’ll receive full training on:

• Using the equipment
• Reviewing digital evidence
• Maintaining daily logs
• Use of radios and other duties

You will support retail and night-time economy members of the Radiolink scheme that operates across the Harrogate district by:

• Sharing intelligence
• Responding to live incidents

Be part of a team that has a crucial role in keeping the Harrogate district safe. You will need:

• Experience of computer-based systems
• To pass the police vetting process
• To undergo an eye test
