Coldstore Operative - Warehouse

As a Coldstore Operative, you will work Monday to Friday, with a shift pattern available between 13:30 – 22:00. A shift allowance is provided where applicable.

Basic Pay: £29,993.60 per annum plus a shift allowance of £2,745.60 per annum.

Your role is crucial in delivering delicious and nutritious meals to Care Homes, Local Authorities, and Hospitals. The aim is to exceed customer expectations while continuously improving operational efficiencies. At apetito, apetito expect apetito's employees to go above and beyond.

apetito is currently expanding and seeking additional warehouse team members. The shift pattern is from 13:30 to 22:00, Monday to Friday, which may be flexible based on business needs. This position involves an 8.5-hour shift, which includes a 30-minute paid break and a 30-minute unpaid break. A reasonable amount of overtime may be required, compensated according to the shift requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Loading stock for bulk storage.
• Picking and assembling orders in apetito's cold store at -22/25 degrees, ensuring a high degree of quality and accuracy.
• Replenishing empty pick locations.
• Loading vehicles for delivery.
• Maintaining accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.
• Reporting issues such as Health and Safety concerns, stock quality problems, and mechanical breakdowns.
• Ensuring frozen products are exposed to minimal ambient temperatures.

Qualifications and Personal Qualities:

Essential:

• Previous experience in a warehouse environment.
• Demonstrates commitment and stability.
• Flexible with good attendance and timekeeping.
• Multi-skilled or willing to learn new skills.
• An open and honest team player.
• A flexible, motivated individual with a “can do” approach.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Capable of managing the demands of a high-speed and high-frequency factory picking environment.

Desirable:

• Experience in a temperature-controlled warehouse.
• Familiarity with SAP/Voice picking systems.
