Role: Cleaner at Byker Police Station
Salary: £12.00 per hour (including a Real Living Wage supplement)
Hours: 20 hours per week, 06:00 – 10:00, Monday – Friday

As a Cleaner, you will be a vital part of this team.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work behind the scenes in an operational police station, where your contributions will be appreciated. Your tasks will include:
- Using specialist equipment and chemicals to clean washrooms and kitchens
- Vacuuming and mopping floors
- Operating floor machines such as floor scrubber/dryers
- Emptying bins and performing other general cleaning duties
- Maintaining knowledge of health and safety legislation and complying with cleaning safety standards
- Engaging in physical tasks, including working at height
Northumbria Police is looking for someone who takes pride in their work, is willing to learn, and can work both independently and as part of a team. A reasonable level of fitness, punctuality, and reliability are essential for this role.

You will be provided with a police staff uniform and receive a competitive hourly rate.
