Overview

The Cancer Team has the opportunity to offer a fixed-term contract for a Band 4, Cancer Care Navigator position. The role is essential in tracking and monitoring cancer patient pathways through various IT systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicating effectively with patients to ensure timely diagnostic tests in line with standards.
  • Enabling data for Multi-Disciplinary Team meetings and supporting national audit data collection.
  • Assisting in patient tracking meetings and updating performance against Cancer Waiting Times standards.

Required Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills for escalating delays to clinical teams.
  • Good IT skills are essential.
  • Knowledge of Cancer Waiting Times standards is advantageous.
  • PAS/Patient Centre experience within a hospital setting is necessary.
