Clinical Psychologist In Paediatric Long-term Ventilation

Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trusts is looking for Clinical Psychologists or final year Trainee Clinical Psychologists with an interest in clinical health psychology and the impact of living with health conditions. You may have experience of working with physical health problems with either children/families or adults, or experience of working in child and adolescent or adult mental health services with a keen interest and desire to apply that knowledge to work in an acute trust.
The postholder will join the respective paediatric medical services at Nottingham Children's Hospital (QMC), providing a specialist clinical psychology service for children and young people to help them manage psychological distress and achieve better treatment outcomes.
Main Duties of the Job
The main duties of the role will involve:
- Working closely with the medical service multidisciplinary team.
- Consultation to staff and direct work with children and young people.
- Attending multidisciplinary clinics.

Requirements
Essential Skills and Experience
- Experience of working with children or adults with physical health problems.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Current HCPC registration for Clinical Psychologist (or eligibility to qualify for registration in 2024).
Desirable Skills
- Experience in paediatric psychology or adult clinical health psychology.
