Community Support Services Coordinator - Day Opportunities

Overview

Rutland County Council is looking for a Community Support Services Coordinator on a fixed term basis to cover for Maternity Leave. The Brightways Hub is a day service offering therapeutic opportunities and developing individuals’ life skills for adults and young people in Rutland County Council's local community. Rutland County Council aim to provide choice and control to those Rutland County Council support over the services they receive, creating tailored packages of support with flexibility around their needs.

About You

• Qualified to NVQ Level 3
• Experienced in leading and supporting a team operationally
• Positive attitude towards disability and understanding of advocacy
• Experience in Person Centred Planning and Health Action Plans
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Able to prioritize own and others' work, and motivate staff members
• Able to work flexibly as part of a rota including weekends and evenings

About the Role

• Coordinate and facilitate service provision for individuals assessed with support needs, promoting their independence and enabling choice and control
• Promote social inclusion and reduce isolation while contributing to service development
• Maintain the staff rota for adequate support, including coordinating leave and training
• Arrange and contribute to multi-disciplinary planning meetings for an integrated approach to service delivery

The successful applicant will undergo an enhanced check by the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS), with costs covered by Rutland County Council.
