Overview

Glasgow Council for the Voluntary Sector is recruiting on behalf of Glasgow Council for the Voluntary Sector's client City Property Glasgow.

Contract: 12 month contract with possible extension to permanent.

Entitlements: 26 days annual leave plus 12.5 public holidays, pension with Strathclyde Pension Fund.

The Chartered Surveyor (Property Management) will support the Assistant Property & Contracts (P&C) Manager in the management and enhancement of the investment property portfolio.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Provide professional advice and support to meet the relevant objectives of the LLP’s Business Plan.
• Manage the operation of the assigned portfolio, ensuring compliance with current legislation.
• Identify asset management opportunities and produce business cases to improve the asset.
• Monitor and control income and expenditure, liaising with property agents and tenants.
• Support City Property in achieving targets such as Commercial Rental Income and Asset Valuation.
• Work collaboratively with stakeholders and partners to share knowledge and expertise.
• Work with legal representatives to ensure delivery of agreed transactions.
• Prepare and deliver accurate management and Committee reports with professional recommendations.
• Interpret complex reports, including costing reports and lease terms.
• Manage a demanding workload and ensure tasks are carried out effectively.
• Ensure Health and Safety and risk management procedures are understood and adhered to.
