Job Summary: The Court Usher plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of court proceedings. You will be the first point of contact for court users, providing essential support to the judiciary and administrative staff.
About HM Courts & Tribunals Service: Responsible for the administration of courts in England and Wales, HMCTS is committed to delivering justice and supporting the public.
Your Role:
- Assist in preparing court rooms and documentation.
- Support vulnerable witnesses and their legal representatives.
- Handle general clerical work to assist HMCTS operations.
Responsibilities:
- Engage with the public in a professional manner.
- Ensure accuracy in court documents and adapt to new IT systems.
- Multi-task and prioritize effectively in a busy environment.
Skills and Experience:
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work in challenging situations with composure.
- Attention to detail and proficiency in IT.
Working Patterns: Standard full-time hours are 37 per week, with flexibility available for part-time arrangements as agreed upon appointment.
