John Keble Primary School, located in a picturesque village just outside Winchester, is a one-form entry school rated Good by Ofsted (February 2024). John Keble Primary School is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Caretaker to join John Keble Primary School's warm and welcoming team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a child-centered environment and takes pride in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of John Keble Primary School's school.

Key Responsibilities:
- Keyholder Duties: Responsible for unlocking and locking the school premises, as well as responding to emergency call-outs.
- Site Maintenance: Keep the school clean, safe, and presentable by performing routine maintenance, repairs, and redecoration tasks.
- Health & Safety: Conduct essential safety checks (fire alarms, legionella, etc.) to ensure the well-being of all.
- Collaboration: Liaise with external contractors for larger repairs and manage site access.
- Cleaning: Assist with daily cleaning responsibilities.
John Keble Primary School're Looking for Someone Who:
- Is reliable, proactive, and takes pride in their work.
- Has solid DIY skills and enjoys practical, hands-on tasks.
- Possesses good communication skills and can work well under pressure, even with occasional interruptions.
- Has basic IT skills (email and computer-based tasks), though training can be provided.
- Prioritizes health and safety in all aspects of their work.
- Enjoys being part of a child-centered environment.

Role Details:
- Hours: 7:30 AM – 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM – 6:30 PM, 42 weeks per year (holidays to be taken during school breaks).
- Salary: Grade C starting at £23,115 (pro-rata, actual salary £14,387)
- Start Date: November 2024
- Interview Date: TBC
