An exciting and unique opportunity has arisen for a permanent position in the Drainage Asset Team within the Highways & Transportation Directorate. Kent County Council is looking for the right person to join a great team on a full-time basis, with a starting salary of £26,515.
About the Position
As a Drainage Technician, you will provide a frontline service dealing with customers reporting drainage faults on Kent County Council's highway network. You will work as part of a team to coordinate emergency responses to flooding incidents and other safety-critical defects by determining and organizing the deployment of appropriate resources.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess routine faults and arrange inspections and maintenance work.
- Ensure compliance with customer service standards.
- Serve as the first point of contact for customers within the Drainage Maintenance Team.
- Collaborate with Highway Stewards and assist Drainage Engineers.
Work Environment
The nature of the service means that peaks in demand are common, and during periods of heavy rain, you will be required to work effectively under pressure and as a team player.
