Job Description

As a Delivery Driver at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will be part of a dynamic Transportation Team. Your role involves delivering goods to customers and end users, as well as making collections and picking up returns. You will perform these tasks safely and compliantly, ensuring efficient operations at Thermo Fisher Scientific's Distribution Centre.

Responsibilities:

• Safely transport goods and materials to designated locations.
• Strictly adhere to all traffic laws and regulations.
• Determine the most efficient routes for timely deliveries.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle maintenance.
• Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Assist with loading and unloading of cargo when necessary.

Experience:

More than 6 months experience in multi-drop delivery driving is required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Valid Class C (HGV) driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Driver Certificate of Professional Competence.
• Previous experience as a Driver, preferably in a transportation/shipping role.
• Excellent knowledge of the UK road network.
• Ability to navigate using GPS and other route planning tools.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift heavy packages and operate loading equipment.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights out.
