Aldi is seeking a highly motivated individual to join Aldi's dynamic team as a Data Modelling Analyst for Customer Strategy based at Aldi's Tamworth Office in the UK. This is a great opportunity for the successful candidate to develop within the business and play a key part in shaping the future of ALDI globally. Your role will support the provision of market, competitor, and customer intelligence to ALDI countries and Global teams, including insights about events and developments in the CI market. This role will closely work with the strategy team to help manage ALDI’s responses to changes in the market.
You will develop an excellent understanding of Aldi's competitors and customers through forecasting and modelling future propositions, supporting the development of Aldi's CI strategy and ensuring customer needs are prioritized in Aldi's digital initiatives.
The ideal candidate will be a strong, forward-thinking professional with an approachable yet assertive presence. Expertise in data modelling concepts is essential, with previous experience in a grocery retail environment being advantageous. You will need enthusiasm and proven experience of working to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
The role is UK-based but part of a global team, requiring occasional travel. All travel, accommodation, and food expenses will be paid for.
Your New Role:
- Identify, analyse and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
- Design, build, and deliver Anaplan models to support planning and forecasting.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to maintain impactful operational and financial forecasting.
- Manage future enhancements and support Anaplan implementation.
- Deliver expert data model advice to internal stakeholders.
- Identify new data sources to enrich commercial data models.
- Utilise relevant data sets for market assessments.
- Ensure commercial data is fit for purpose for onward uses.
About You:
- Experience in data modelling and financial forecasting.
- Able to produce relevant data models across multiple subject areas.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced environments.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present to diverse audiences.
- Experience in building financial models with Excel and Anaplan.
