Day Shift Supervisor

Overview

Evri is seeking a Day Shift Supervisor. This role is based at Evri's New Sheffield Depot, where you will lead teams of Sorters and Drivers in processing parcels for final delivery. The Day Shift typically runs from 12-8.30 Monday to Sunday, working any 5 days in 7.

Job Purpose:

The Day Shift Warehouse Supervisor is key to ensuring the smooth running of operations in Evri's Depot.

About the Role:

You’ll join the Depot Management team, supporting the Operations Manager with strong people management.

You will supervise a mixed team of contracted and agency staff during the day shifts, focusing on processing returns and parcels.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and train reports to ensure SLA’s are met.
• Process MI reports based on work output.
• Manage all areas of parcel shop operations efficiently.
• Recruitment, induction, and performance management of Warehouse drivers.
• Ensure compliance with driving hours and legalities.
• Plan local routes for effective parcel delivery.

Essential Skills and Experience Required:

• Ability to work independently under pressure.
• Experience in managing teams in logistics.
• PC literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Transport knowledge and regulatory compliance.
• Good communication skills.
• Flexible approach to meet business needs.
