Animed Direct was established in 2010 and sells medicines, pet food and other animal related products to customers across the UK via its website .  Animed Direct has an online turnover of over £40m p.a in the UK and has plans in place to expand sales across other European markets in the near future. As part of our continued growth, we are looking to recruit a Dispensing Veterinary Surgeon to join our team ideally based at our offices in Diss, Norfolk.  However, we also welcome applications for a possible hybrid or remote position with an intensive induction/training period based in Diss upon joining.

Within this role you will report into the Head of Prescription Operations and will work as part of a team of vets who are responsible for:

• Ensuring prescription validity, clinical accuracy and compliance with VMD regulations
• Liaising with veterinary practices and prescribing veterinary surgeons to clarify any prescription anomalies or queries
• Working with the prescription administration team to ensure that all prescriptions are processed in a timely manner

Key skills and experience required as follows:

• MRCVS Qualified Veterinary Surgeon (New or recent graduates are welcome to apply)
• Some clinical experience as a qualified veterinary surgeon is preferred but not essential 
• An up to date CPD record
• Basic computing skills
• Good customer service skills
