Despatch Warehouse Operative

Overview

Here at Ocado Logistics, Ocado Group's people, technology, and customers work side by side supporting the amazing communities Ocado Group serve. Ocado Group is incredibly diverse and come from all walks of life with different stories and experiences. As a Warehouse Operative, you will be at the heart of preparing orders for customers. You'll be loading individual totes into frames which are then loaded into Ocado Group's delivery vans. Your responsibilities will include:

• Sorting and organizing totes returning to the site
• Handling any returns
• Assisting with the in-house tote wash machine
• Sorting stock for Ocado Group's shop or the charities Ocado Group support

Ocado Group offer a variety of shift options:

• Days: 06:00 - 17:00
• Nights: 19:00 - 06:00

You can enjoy three days off each week with Ocado Group's core roster, providing your work pattern 13 weeks in advance. The starting rate is £11.87 per hour, with a night shift premium of £2.67 per hour and overtime paid at basic x 1.25.

Things to consider include working in both ambient and chill (0 to 5℃) sections, and the role requires you to be mobile at all times, carrying out repetitive tasks and potentially lifting up to 25kg. You will also be required to handle both meat and alcohol products.
