Equipment Engineer

Overview

This new opportunity is for an Equipment Engineer to work with a leading company in the industrial gases sector.

Job Role

You will manage the development of Customer Engineering Services (CES) supply schemes, ensuring adherence to safety regulations, encompassing the design, installation, and maintenance of gas supply systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for equipment designs, specifications, and technical data.
• Act as the key interface between CES and Technical Authorities within the Discipline Team.
• Develop standardized minimum viable products, considering fitness for purpose, value engineering, spares policy, and reduced lead times.
• Collaborate with the CES Training Manager to develop and deliver training packages for supply scheme systems and equipment.
• Ensure all supply schemes have suitable Process Safety reviews and Technical Authority approval.

Knowledge and Experience Required

• Practical knowledge and experience of industrial gas supply schemes, equipment, and components.
• Experience in HAZOP/LOPA assessments.
• Knowledge of PED, PSSR, and Industrial and Cryogenic Gases is desirable.
• Engineering practices for cryogenic and oxygen systems.
• Understanding of quality management systems, 5S, and lean sigma methodology.
• Strong man-management skills and computer literacy.
• Good inter-personal and presentation skills.
• A fundamental understanding of Health & Safety procedures.
• A full UK driver's licence.

Salary and Benefits

Salary is circa £55,000 per annum, along with a 10% bonus. Benefits include a company vehicle, pension, healthcare, and performance bonuses.
