Estate Services Operative

Overview

Ignite Recruitment are looking for Estate Service Operatives to work in Enfield and Edmonton. The successful candidates will play a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness and safety of housing estates.

Key Responsibilities

• Sweeping and/or washing all communal staircases, foyers, balconies, passages, courtyards, car parks, hard standing areas, chute chamber rooms, and refuse storage rooms.
• Cleaning and/or washing of lift car floors and walls, lamp shades and diffusers, estate signs, estate furniture, and other communal fixtures and fittings.
• Removing extraneous matter, including sharps and drug-related materials, dog waste, etc., in compliance with Health and Safety guidelines.
• Cleaningly disposing of overspill in refuse container storage rooms.
• Checking refuse chutes and unblocking them when possible, or reporting blockages when necessary.
• Emptying and cleaning estate litter bins and other waste receptacles.
• Removing treated weeds and plant material from hard standing areas as required.
• Identifying and reporting health and safety issues and necessary repairs.
• Identifying improvements to public realm areas, working closely with Neighbourhood Officers.
• Conducting bulk rubbish removal.

Job Types

Temp to perm, Temporary contract

Salary and Benefits

Hourly pay ranges from £12.50 to £13.50.

• On-site parking

Schedule

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

Requirements

Applicants must possess a valid driving licence and a DBS check.
