This role is a part time Fixed Term contract for 6 months, requiring 22.2 hours of work per week, specifically on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays from 8:30 am to 5 pm.
Role Overview
Kent County Council is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join Kent County Council's Front Door Service team. This position involves managing requests for support and new referrals, conducting assessments, and determining the necessary level of support for children, young people, and their families in accordance with Kent's Support Level Guidance.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and assess requests for support.
- Gather relevant information and make enquiries.
- Utilise social work skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Work collaboratively within a duty rota system.
Candidate Requirements
Applicants must hold a degree in social work (CQSW, DipSW or equivalent) and be registered with Social Work England. Relevant post-qualification experience in Children and Families is essential.
Successful candidates will possess:
- Strong communication and literacy skills.
- Ability to manage complex cases efficiently.
- Experience in assessments and analysis.
