Hours: 37.5 hours per week including evening and weekends
Contract Type: Permanent x5 FTE roles
Location: Swindon
Working with children and young people (CYP) emotional needs across all elements of the iTHRIVE model. This diverse and exciting role delivers a range of interventions to CYP at various stages of their emotional recovery and safety needs. Working as part of a multi-disciplinary community team, you will work on a rotational basis across community day and educational provisions, as well as the ‘urgent need’ Haven evening service, including weekends.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting the mental and emotional well-being of CYP within ABL Health's community. This position involves:
- Providing direct urgent mental health services.
- Collaborating with families, emergency services, CAMHS, schools, and community organisations.
- Contributing to a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment for young people.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Experience in providing direct urgent need mental health support.
- A strong understanding of the challenges faced by young people.
- Knowledge of effective responses to challenging behaviors and de-escalation techniques.
- A commitment to delivering high-quality, compassionate care.
Essential Criteria:
- Knowledge of development in CYP and family dynamics.
- Experience in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
- Ability to recognize and respond to child protection and safeguarding concerns.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to engage with CYP of various ages and backgrounds.
- Efficient problem-solving skills and a polite manner towards colleagues and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and running remote meetings.
- Flexibility to adapt to service needs.
- Enhanced DBS check.
