Full Job Description

Killinghall CE Primary School is seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant and Wraparound Care Assistant with experience of working within Early Years and/or Key Stage 1 to start on Monday 18th November, 2024.

The post is for 36.25 hours per week and is split as follows:

  • Monday to Friday: 08:45-15:30 GTA
  • Monday & Tuesday: 15:30-17:30 Wraparound GTA
  • Friday: 15:30-17:00 Wraparound GTA

This is initially on a temporary contract. The successful candidate will work alongside North Yorkshire Council's class teachers in Early Years and Key Stage 1. The role will be classroom-based with SEND support, when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The skills and confidence to work with children in Early Years and Key Stage 1.
  • A proven track record in effectively supporting individuals within a primary school setting.
  • The ability to establish excellent relationships with children and promote aspirational achievement for all groups of learners.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Belief in inclusion for all and the ability to implement strategies to support children with SEND.
