Jump Start Nursery is one of Brighton and Hove City Council Children’s Centre Nurseries. Brighton & Hove City Council operate five nurseries across the City, providing high-quality service for children aged from 2 to 5 years. Brighton & Hove City Council's nursery is located within Moulsecoomb Children’s Centre (North family Hub), meeting the needs of young children and their families. The nursery features a large garden space where children can climb, dig, ride bikes, and explore nature.
Job Summary
Brighton & Hove City Council is seeking a passionate Early Years Practitioner/Nursery Assistant with a minimum Level 3 qualification to join Brighton & Hove City Council's team. The hourly rate for this post is £13.02, with working hours totaling 26.5 hours per week.
Working Hours
- 8:45-2:00 or 9:00-2:15 Monday to Thursday
- 8:00-1:30 on Fridays
- 12:00-5:15 Monday to Thursday and Friday 8:00-1:30
Responsibilities
- Being a key person for a group of children
- Building relationships and supporting attachment
- Ensuring children feel safe
- Carrying out observations and assessments
- Supporting growth and development
Requirements
- Experience in an early years environment
- Positive attitude and passion for learning
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years and Childcare
- Excellent communication skills
